a bit here and there

Ok. The last time I blogula'd there was a little more to it. Of course that somehow got lost whpen I posted the goddamn thing. I swear I understand how to type and then press post. I think something happened when I boldtyped some words. Shouldn't get so fancy.

At any rate: the New Year.

Today In Search Of is on SciFi all damned day long. It's not the old Nimoy one that I always get a kick out of; it's a more recent one with the guy from the X-Files. They kind of suck, but it's fun to have on in the background as I compute.

Here's some stuff:

Read the Buffy novel Child of the Hunt.
also, Pattern Recognitions, by William Gibson
and Swords in the Mist (I think -- at least the second Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser book)
Child of the Hunt by Christopher Golden who writes a lot of these Buffy books and also does this online bbc flash cartoon with Amber Benson called Ghosts of Albion which is pretty fun.

Did some research on giant super gorillas and found some interesting stuff. I'm not sure how to do pictures here. Not sure. I press the import picture button and I'm still waiting for blogger.com. I need a new blog. This one's pissed me off several times.

I'm thinking I might blog more often just because it seems like a fun thing to do. We've got this laptop now and the wireless monster so I sit around with the damned thing all the time and the computer is beoming more a part of my life. Or is it?

I enjoy watching dvd's while linked to the net. We watched the 2/3/4 seasons of Angel recently and I was plugged in to tvtome.com for most of the eps, scanning reviews and cast info, occasionally clicking over and imdbing someone; it's awesome. Only pisspants is tha we don't have a fucking battery for it and I'm loathe to spend the hundred bucks on one. I'm sure that I'll do it when the weather gets nice so I can get out of the house and compute.
