Laundry, dishes, procrastination, the dog . . .

Welcome back, dear readers. I apologize for taking such a hiatus, but some things cannot be avoided: laundry, dishes, procastination, the dog ... you know, things like that.

Have you missed me? Did everyone get their own summer reading done? I didn't get as much as I thought I would (see above: procrastination) but I sure enjoyed myself.

My newest thing is the gymnasium. Yes, I know, who can believe it, but I sure am digging it. It has allowed me to make a new list:

Things to read at the gym

Savage Tales of Solomon Kane
Premiere magazine

That's the list so far, but there is more to come. It's difficult because you have to find something that will lie flat, and that you can read while running or whatever you call it. I find the Solomon Kane to be awesome, except as I near the end of the book it doesn't want to stay open. Any suggestions readers? There's nothing like a good sword fight or vampire battle to open up the eye of the tiger!!

Press Start

We've also been playing some video games lately and so, for you completists:

Gauntlet: Legends (GC)
Zelda: Four Sword Adventures
Metroid: Zero Mission
Return to Castle Wolfenstein (XBOX)
Red Faction
Timesplitters (PS2)
Halo
Banjo-Kazooie
Diddy Kong Racing
and K's been playing:
Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga

Yes, that's right. You see a lot of fsp's (first person shooters) there which usually isn't my cup of tea, but I've found that an hour of shooting things in the head, preferably zombies, nazis, space monsters is really fun. Case closed.

Topic for future essay: Video Game Bats: what's up with them?

bathroom book update
All previous considerations are to be replaced with Buffy the Vampire Slayer novels, preferably the 'juvenile' or 'young adult' variety. Your bowels will thank you.

that's enough for now
